How sick is too sick?
If you have doubts as to whether or not your child should attend school due to possible illness, see this document from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for guidance.
Important changes regarding Immunization exemptions for the 2021/22 school year.
Colorado law (Board of Health rule 6 CCR 1009-2) requires students who attend a public, private, or parochial K-12th grade school be vaccinated against certain diseases unless a certificate of exemption is filed each school year.
Please see the latest parent letter from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for more information and links to both exemption forms.
School Closure/Inclement Weather Information
RMAE follows the Jefferson County Schools Closure process. Moving forward Jeffco, and RMAE, will no longer close school due to weather, poor travel conditions, or other urgent issues. Instead, Jeffco will announce “district-wide remote days” either the night before or by 6am the morning of the event. If this occurs, students will log into their google classroom and follow the “Remote Learning Plan” listed under classwork. The remote learning plan includes times of live instruction with links as well as assignments. Please contact your child(ren)’s teacher(s) with questions.
