What is the age requirement for Kindergarten?

The student must be five years old by October 1 to enter kindergarten.

What are class times?

7:35 AM - 3:15 PM for grades 6-8
7:45 AM - 3:05 PM for grades 3-5
7:55 AM - 2:55 PM for grades K-2

When is enrollment and registration? What if I miss the registration period?

Open enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year begins on December 8th, 2020 with the EnrollJeffco system. Once open enrollment has closed and offers have been issued, registration at the school can begin around the end of February. You will receive communication once registration is open. 

Can my student attend RMAE if we live outside the district?

Yes, on a space-available basis, after accommodating all in-district students.  Maximum class sizes do exist. 

Is there a Dress Code?

How do I get information about RMAE’s after-school childcare?

Adventures in Child Care (ACC) provides quality childcare for ages 5 – 14 onsite at RMAE. Age-appropriate educational and recreational activities are provided. All after-care students must be registered through Adventures in Childcare.  For more information, contact Lucy Shepard 303-912-6794.

Will my student have Specials (Art, Music, Tech, Spanish, and P.E.)?

The Core Knowledge curriculum incorporates Art, Music, Technology, Spanish and P.E into the program for all students.

When do the supply lists become available?

The supply lists will be available on the RMAE website in late spring. RMAE’s PTO will be selling supply kits. These are considerably less expensive than purchasing the items on your own and have the added bonus that they are also a fundraiser for our PTO.  Supply Kit Link

How do I pay our student fees?

The classroom fees sheets will be available, for review only, in late March.  Parents may pay directly through Jeffco Connect beginning August 1st. Please contact our Business Office for any special arrangements that may be necessary or to complete the Family Economic Data Survey form.  Student Fee Link

What are the summer office hours?

Office hours will be posted on the door to the school. Enrollment questions may be asked by phone or email and will be answered weekly (info@rmae.org).

Is Hot Lunch available?

Students should plan to bring a sack lunch and snack each day. Students are currently having lunch in their classrooms or outside due to Covid Restrictions. There is no access to a microwave for students at this time.

What is the attendance policy?

Regular daily attendance is expected of all students.
Attendance is the responsibility of the student, the parents, and the school. The importance of regular, daily attendance as a basis for academic achievement cannot be overemphasized. Absences have a negative effect on instructional continuity, regardless of attempts to make up work. Parents should inform the office and/or teacher about their child’s absence by 9:15 a.m. (attendance@rmae.org
).  Parents may also leave attendance messages on the attendance line at 303.670.1070 x150.  


Prearranged Absences – If you are planning a longer absence we ask that you notify the office in advance, by submitting a Pre-Arranged Absence Form to the office prior to the absence. The form is available for download on the RMAE website, under Family Resources>Forms.
