Middle School Field Trips

Field Trips

RMAE authorizes and encourages field trips for educational purposes provided such trips are properly planned and have been approved by the Director. Permission slips must be completed prior to the trip or the student will remain at school. 

Overnight Field Trips: All permission forms and medications must be turned into the office no later than 2 weeks prior to departure.  An informational parent meeting will be scheduled to coordinate all paperwork in advance of the spring trips.


100 ELK Middle School Retreat (6th - 8th)

All Middle School grades attend a 2 night 3 day trip to Buena Vista within the first two weeks of the start of school. Cost is $285.00 and can be found in your Jeffco Fees on Jeffco Connect.

 SEACAMP San Diego (7th Grade)

A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due by October 21st  along with SEACAMP Forms A, B & C.
Total cost for the trip is estimated at $1,100.00 - $1,200.00.  The 7th grade Pizza Fundraiser will offset the balance of all attending.  The final amount due will be determined in April.  Payment in full is due prior to the trip, and payments may be made towards the trip at any time through Jeffco Connect.

STONE CANYON (8th Grade)

Trip Dates are April 15-17, 2020
Trip Cost: Estimated at $279.05.  A $50 non-refundable deposit is due by February 28, 2020.  Payment for the trip must be made in full by April 3, 2020.

Keystone Science School (6th Grade)

Trip Dates are May 6-8, 2020
Trip Cost: Estimated at $230. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due by February 28, 2020. Proceeds from the 6th Grade Froyo fundraiser will help to offset the balance for all who attend.  The balance will be determined in April, and payment for the trip must be made in full by May 1, 2020.
